What does the vignette cover?
The Slovenian e-vinjeta (DARS) is required on all motorways and expressways. Cars are class 2A (height above the front axle up to 1.30 m) or 2B (above 1.30 m — many vans and campers); motorcycles have their own cheaper class.
Choosing the correct height class matters: a 2A vignette on a 2B vehicle counts as driving without a valid vignette.
Driving without a vignette
Fines for driving without a valid e-vignette range from €300 to €800. Enforcement is automatic via camera gantries across the network.
